About Us

Posters Inc. began in the late 1960s when we recognized the lack of large, colorful graphic posters. We appreciated the fact that posters are a communication tool - representing one's hobbies, passions, life experiences, decorating style and more.

In 1967 and 1968 we developed an exciting, unofficial line of political posters for the major potential presidential candidates at that time. These refreshingly different caricatures are still available as originals from the late 1960s.

We had so much fun with the political posters that we went on to develop some humorous, statement type posters that made fun of many things such as our "I Hate War Because I Scare Easily" poster.

That led us to our largest line of posters - our Historic Military Posters - that depict many of the government issued posters. We reprinted several of those government issued posters including the most famous one of all: "Uncle Sam - I Want You." We brought back many other famous posters such as the image of the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima and "Loose Lips Might Sink Ships" from the WW II era. We went on to create a Korean War poster, Vietnam poster, Desert Storm / Shield poster as well as Gulf War 11poster honoring those that served in those wars. We continue to produce more posters about American history at a very brisk pace.

I believe Posters Inc. today, is one of the largest publishers of historic posters in the nation and still growing. In September of 2009 we introduced 5 reproductions of WPA (Works Progress Administration) posters from the Federal Art Project of 1935-1943. I hope you will find our historic posters to be the gems that they are.
